As I was writing the first draft one concern which I had was, whether I was making proper connections between both Gee and Cuddy’s work, as well as my own perspective. Another concern which I had was meeting the word count. Things that my peers(Mickey) liked about my paper were the connections I made with Gee and Cuddy’s work, they also like the structure of my draft. I am working best with Gee when I am connecting his ideas of mushfake with my own views of entering a discourse. The aspects which I worked best with Cuddy is where I used her theory of asserting dominance through non-verbal communication and how it is crucial to come off as dominant and confident when entering a discourse. One thing Mickey said was to expand on my ideas. This can be observed when she says “expand on this, it will help your paper” this quote is referring to expanding my argument.  The biggest challenge for me was expanding my arguments. For instance I brought up the idea of someone who has mastered one discourse should have the social skills to master multiple. Both Mickey and Dr. Cripps think I should expand on this and make a paragraph discussing this point. Overall my peers feel that I need to expand on the “I Say” portion of my paper.
